Junior Estimator required in Kent

GVR Solutions are currently working with an existing client of ours who are a specialist drylining contractor based in London. Are you a school leaver looking to kickstart your career in construction?

Due to ongoing growth we have an exciting opportunity for you to join their dynamic drylining division as a Junior Estimator. You’ll be involved in a variety of projects, including partition systems, suspended ceilings, internal finishes, and SFS framing systems across the residential, commercial, and education sectors. Our projects range from £1 million to over £10 million in value, requiring high-quality workmanship and attention to detail. No previous experience in drylining or estimating is necessary as we will provide ongoing training and support. For the right person this role provides the opportunity for career advancement within this growing, industry leading business.

 

The responsibilities of the Junior Estimator are:

  • Learning to analyse drawings, scopes, and documents for tender consideration
  • Performing accurate take-offs using specialist software
  • Assisting in preparing tender measures, rates, and submissions
  • Identifying risks and opportunities in projects
  • Communicating with the main contractor during the tender process to address queries and ensure clarity in scope and detailing

 

The Junior Estimator must have/be:

  • Hardworking and enthusiastic
  • Eye for detail
  • Methodical and organised
  • Basic IT skills and knowledge of MS Excel
  • Good communication skills
  • Eligible to work full-time in the UK
