Sub-Contractor Buyer / Purchasing Clerk

A long Established & Specialised Drylining Contractor who mainly operate on Residential & Commercial schemes across London. They have been running now for around 40 years’ and have built a solid reputation with the Drylining Industry. The successful candidate will be joining a collaborative team who are approachable and adopt a good work – life balance through prioritising both professional growth and personal enjoyment.

Responsibilities include:

• Processing internal email orders from site(s)
• Checking with approved suppliers’ stock / availability of materials required
• Purchasing within site budgets
• Raising purchase orders to suppliers with all relevant information (delivery date / address / site contact / delivery restrictions / offloading method)
• Checking order acknowledgments from suppliers
• Confirming delivery details to site(s)
• Requesting quotations and negotiating rates / prices for nonstandard products
• Providing cost advice to estimators
• Continual assessment of supply chain
• Managing material schedules for sites
