Assistant Project Manager – Facades

A leading and long-established Façade Sub-Contractor that work within the infrastructure and commercial sector are now looking to recruit for an Assistant Project Manager. Due to the success of recent projects and the repeat business with clients they are continuing to grow the workload for the next 5 years. This position would be based on a Site in South London to begin with which will last around 6 months and then follow straight on to a long-term project in North London.

Supporting a highly qualified Project Manager will allow you to gain the correct knowledge and procedures for you to progress within the company into a Project Manager. You will be working within a team that you will assist in the Installation process for the delivery to the client.

Duties

  • Managing all site operatives and sub-contractors
  • Organise all plant and material orders / deliveries to site.
  • Ensure that works are completed safely and to the requirements.
  • Assist with the preparation of method statements, RAMS and H&S documents.
  • Attend inspects and quality control surveys.
  • Maintaining good working knowledge of current contracts, acts, and legislation
  • Prepare all handover documents for the installation team.
  • Attend site meetings where required.

Requirements for applicant

  • You will be degree qualified (or currently in the process of gaining the relevant degree) to the role within the Construction industry, along with having a working knowledge with the software packages (MS Office etc.).
  • Be able to work well within the team,
  • Be proactive in taking on responsibility.
  • Possess good communication skills.
