Trainee Estimator

GVR Solutions are currently representing one of our best Sub-Contractors in assisting the recruitment for a Trainee / Assistant Estimator. They predominately work on High Profile residential schemes throughout London and surrounding home counties. This position will be based in the Head office in Southend, Essex.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and ensure tender submissions are evaluated and submitted
• Ensure the pre-construction process is followed
• Support client engagement during the process
• Engage manufacturers and suppliers
• Assess the risk associated with key bids
• Assist with developing the key bid deliverables including clarifications, design requirements, preliminary assessment.
• Fully understand the client scope of works and how this may impact on the estimate.
• Present financial overviews of bids allowing assessment of value engineering proposals and commercial amendments.
• Experience:
• 1-2 years’ estimating experience specifically for drylining packages.
• Strong understanding of commercial construction processes.
• Previously used On Screen Take off
• Able to multi-task and meet strict deadlines
• Computer literate with experience in Microsoft Office.
• Great people skills
